take the red scissors from the shed

I’m making dandelion wine to sip on

tomorrow it’s dandelion bread to nibble on

and the day after it’s dandelion pasta

soup, cream, syrup, cake, all for the taste

mother salts everything with her tears

eating yellow blossoms by the fistful
