Red Pocket Magazine 🏮 is an international literary magazine that publishes the writing ✍️ and art 🎨 of youth of the Asian diaspora ages 13+.
✨ What you’ll be doing
Write persuasive, high-impact grants for various Red Pocket Magazine projects using an intimate understanding of Red Pocket’s mission to empower Asian youth
Conduct research on grants to determine grants that best align with Red Pocket Magazine’s initiatives and mission
Time permitting, pursue sponsorships with local Asian businesses in support of Asian youth with the goal of supporting the businesses as well

To embolden the voices of the global Asian diasporic youth so they may reflect on, grapple with, and champion their ethnic, cultural, and racial heritages through expressive mediums and new perspectives.
Above all, Red Pocket is a safe space where you can live your truth, share your lived experiences, and unapologetically engage in discussions with people who have grown up similarly to you, yet vastly different at the same time. We grow as a team and we bond over rants about boba, tea about our lives, hot takes on random topics, and each others’ successes. ❤️

NOTE: We are looking for a diverse group of team members from the Asian diaspora, not only East Asian team members. We encourage South Asian, South East Asian, and Central Asian youth to apply!
